When is the start date? This will be decided once the government announces when we can open. This will be from Sat 17th April. (training will commence the week before)

How will you contact me? Due to the high numbers of applicants we will only contact those who are chosen for interview. This will be a few weeks before we open, the date cannot be arranged yet but hopefully by the 15th March.

1. Cafe Assistants:

-Part time at weekends & school holidays, including Bank Holidays for the season until 31st October 2021.

-Training will be provided before you start.

-Hours of work : approx. 9am-5pm with breaks.

-Minimum age: 16 yrs.

-Starting hourly rate: Minimum wage, however pay increases with responsibilities.

-Uniform provided.

Key areas of responsibility:

-Serving customers with food/drink/ice creams and taking payments.

-Assist in preparation of café food and help with the running of the café, including morning prep and end of service clean down.

-Restocking shelves when required

-Offering customers good standards of service and care at all times.

-Uniform is provided.

The role includes:

-Demonstrating good standards of care and attention when assisting customers in the café.

-Taking orders and payments accurately, ensuring food presentation levels are maintained at all times.

-Serving of hot and cold drinks, cakes and other food items.

-Keeping the cafe tidy – cleaning tables/sweeping and removing food waste will be part of the job.

-Cleaning toilets on a rota basis (yes, we all do this job!)

-Ensuring compliance with all legislation food hygiene which you will be trained in before you start.

-As this is a part time seasonal job, it is suitable for those who can only work weekends and school holidays, usually around studies.

The personal skills that are required for the job:

-We all work as a team here so you need to be comfortable playing your part.

-Your will have a friendly nature, comfortable talking to our customers, and be able to initiate conversations and always want to do your very best.

-This is a flexible role – the café can get very busy and you need to smile through the pressure at busy times while still keeping high standards of service and food presentation.

-This is an active role – lots of walking around, you will be on your feet a lot.

-Excellent standards of personal presentation are essential.

2. Animal activity role.

-Hours of work – approx. 9am-5pm with breaks.

-Minimum age: 17 yrs. Must be studying towards an animal related qualification at college or university.

-Starting hourly rate: Minimum wage, however pay increases with responsibilities.

Key areas of responsibility:

-Feeding animals and helping ensure they are kept clean and tidy at all times.

-Carrying out animal activities where required.

-Offering customers good standards of service and care at all times.

-Uniform is provided but we do expect you to have practical clothing for all weathers including the correct footwear.

The role includes:

-Demonstrating good standards of care and attention to our animals.

-Assisting in the feeding of all animals on the farm and making sure they are super clean and presentable at all times.

-Making sure animal welfare is maintained and that customers are well informed about how to treat our animals.

-Driving small farm machinery, just the easy stuff. (it is useful if you can or are learning to drive)

-Litter picking and sorting the bins at the end of the day

-Leading animal activities for visitors such as bottle feeding the lambs.

-Keeping the farm tidy on your shift as part of a team.

-As this is a part time seasonal job, it is suitable for those who can only work weekends and school holidays, usually around studies.

The personal skills that are required for the job:

-We all work as a team here so you need to be comfortable playing your part.

-You must be able to work to a routine and like keeping things tidy.

-Your will have a friendly chatty nature, comfortable talking to our customers, and be able to initiate conversations and always want to do your very best.

-You will have an interest in our animals and be able to represent the farm well by talking about to customers when they have questions.

-This is a flexible role – the farm can get very busy and you need to feel confident to work under pressure at busy times while still keeping high standards at all times.

-This is an active outdoors role – lots of walking around, you will be on your feet a lot.

-Excellent standards of personal presentation are essential.
